Jay Buford Carrens, or “Jay” as he was known to all, 78, Houston TX, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022, at Memorial Hermann Southwest. He was born on Sunday November 7,1943 in Tulsa Co. Tulsa Ok,, to J.B Carrens and Rosalie(Chaney) Carrens. Jay was married to Jaynalea (Jarnagin)Carrens for 26 years, and was a retired piping designer. He is survived by Jaynalea; his son, C. Blair Carrens and wife Karen; his daughter, Heather Carrens Francis; 5 grandchildren; and older brother, Don Carrens and wife Pat . He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Tommy Carrens and younger brother, Jerry Carrens. Jay loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed. Despite his quiet dignified disposition, yet had a knack for clever quips. His one liners were always delivered with a chuckle. Jay put the needs of others above his own. Heaven gained an angel yet his spirit and memories will live on within each of us.
